When I shopped every weekend I had my gifts months in advance but now I don't even have any back up gifts!
Luckily there are not many to buy for any more since I convinced my Colorado friends to draw names last year. So that leaves my parents, DH gets his parents, DH, Matty, and whoever I draw.
Wow that seems totally doable!! Woo hoo for small families!!
What happens if someone wats to return something you bought this far in advance? Has that ever happened to any of you? I'd like to start when I see the right gifts but always worry about that.

I haven't started yet, but I am impressed that you have. I get kind of irked and resist shopping for a while when I see Christmas stuff out in August!
My side of the family makes wish lists to help the rest of us shop. My sister starts bugging us for them in October, when she gets her Christmas Club money.
Good for you! I haven't even let myself think about it yet. I should really start early. Between Dec 25 and Jan 8 (2 weeks) we have Christmas, DSS's b-day and DD and DH's b-day. I kind of just want to bury my head in the sand and not think about it.

Nice gift! Yep, I've been buying as well, primarily for the nieces and nephews where if they don't like it, too bad, but I'm not passing up a deal on a Sesame Street playhouse normally $35 for $8 (that I know my niece will dig). I got tickets to an awesome show for my parents so they are taken care of and have been picking up some small knick-knacks here and there to send to my grandmother and great-aunt to go with their larger presents of gift cards -- that's mostly so they have lots of presents to open because sad to say, besides my sister, none of their other grandchildren send them anything for Christmas (my brother because he can't afford to and my cousins because they just never think to).
I absolutely have not started. It's hard for me to even think about Christmas this early these days, because I've got DH's birthday Oct. 30, DD's on November 3, and I'm trying to plan a birthday party for DD. I probably won't start thinking about Christmas until I get those two birthdays out of the way. :-)

very nice!
DH usually handles the shopping and he just started last weekend! Not sure who or what he bought but this is what he does.
You are a good daughter! Nice gift.
By this time last year I had all my Xmas shopping done and 1/2 wrapped. I was also almost 9 months pregnant. I was insanely organized.
Your post reminds me that I need to get (online) shopping!
