My mom was diagnosed with it and as support the entire family began gluten free eating. When I came off the gluten free, I'll say bad things happened with my belly and low and behold I have it now as well.

My dad was diagnosed 5 years ago so I'm quite familiar. He has his own shelf in my pantry From what I understand, they are two completely different organ systems (digestive vs reproductive), so it shouldn't affect TTC. Or would it??

My good friend from high schools eats entirely gluten free. She only tried for 3 months before conceiving. She also ate gluten free her entire pregnancy. I don't think she did anything different.

Thanks ladies. I know there aren't very many choices. My mom eats only chicken and mashed potatoes. She has an egg allergy, among other things. I was hoping to have a chat with her about good things I could have.
I only asked because I had a friend give me a book on fertility friendly foods and lets say not many choices were gluten free.

Most of the foods you're supposed to eat while PG are more of avoiding things like sushi, soft cheese, deli meats, etc - not necessarily adding things - what was on the list you were reading?

I eat completely gluten and dairy free. There are tons of things to eat! I think that if you have celiac and do not follow a gluten free diet, you can run in to fertility issues. As long as you follow your diet and do not have other compounding issues, you should have the same chance conceiving as any healthy person your age. Feel free to ask me any questions about my diet and what I can eat.
