YAY 10 weeks of bed rest and only 2 weeks left :)

I havent wrote on here in so long! my wonderful boyfriend and I are having a beautiful set of twin girls, we are 30 weeks and in 2 weeks we will have our baby girls with us! how exciting!

At 20 weeks, I went to a high risk doctor to find out that my cervix was short and very soft. I had my cervix stitched and was in the hospital for 4 days. Once I got out my doctor made it very clear that I needed to be on bed rest. We started than having weekly visit, weekly shots and bed rest. How non exciting! Finally at 28 weeks we started having contractions along with braxton hicks contractions and it was not fun. It is so amazing to feel my little girls moving and kicking and knowing that they are healthy and before long they will be our arms. I cant explain how much I HATED bed rest for 10 weeks but I keep reminding myself that it will be totally worth it in the end!

I hope everyone that is reading this- has and is having a better pregnancy than I have. I can tell you twin pregnancy is not all its cracked up to be. I wanted to go out and show off being pregnant, shopping for cribs, bedding and all the clothes but I just kept reminding myself it will work out in the end. So to the all the moms on bed rest out- Stay positive!!!

That's so great your'e nearing a happy ending! I hate to generalize but I'm sure a ton of us in the 3rd tri are OVER this pregnancy business (OK, maybe I'm just speaking for me). It's good to be reminded to be positive. We have a lot to be grateful for!

I have been on bed rest since I was 12 weeks....So I totally empathize with you....but I totally agree that it is totally worth it. Good luck with the delivery.
