Detergent Question- Might Be A Stupid Question

Do I need to get baby detergent?  I wasn't thinking the other day and washed all her clothes in our regular detergent (Oxy-clean).  Is baby detergent a must-have?  I have eczema/ sensitive skin, so if I buy a detergent should I get some for sensitive skin to be on the safe side?

Re: Detergent Question- Might Be A Stupid Question

  • I use All Free and Clear on all my laundry. If you use a detergent free of scents and dyes, it's the same as using a baby detergent, but cheaper.

  • I am going to use the Costco Brand Free & Clear, the baby detergent is a little spendy and is the same stuff any of the free and clears should work fine.
  • I just use the same stuff DH and I have always used on our clothes - plain old Tide.

  • I started out washing DD's clothes in Free and Clear, but eventually switched to using the Tide that I was my clothes in and we haven't had any problems.  I will probably start out using Free and Clear again to make sure LO #2 doesn't have any allergy issues.

  • Anything Free & Clear would be good!  We use Costco.
  • free and clear in any brand you normally use will be fine.

  • I bought some Tide Free and Gentle yesterday at Target bc it was on sale. I think I will use it for the intial "washing-of-the-baby-clothes" bit, but after LO comes I will test out our regular detergent w/ him. I don't think that Dreft is really a nessecity IMO.
