  • Is there a reason you don't want Chicco?? Cause I LOVE out chicco liteway. We have it in bright blue (also comes in red/pink, and black) It reclines to flat, can be used newborn to 40 pounds, it pretty light weight and folds easily, taking up little room in the trunk of car.  I definatly prefer it to the othe chicco ones I had seen.

  • I have a Maclaren Techno XLR, which is techincally a full sized stroller, but I use it as my lightweight, LOL.  I love all Maclarens actually, I don't think you can go wrong with any of their models.  My reg stroller is a Bugaboo and I would have to say my Maclaren pushes just about as well.

I do not recommend a Combi, I have one of those too and hate it.  My friend has a Chicco Liteway, I've pushed it, compared to the Maclarens it isn't as nice, but everyones stroller needs are different.  If you are going to use it a lot I'd go with a little bit better quality of a stroller.  You get what you pay for IMHO.

  • Oh and a friend of mine has a Quinny Zapp, she loves it, but it does not recline, just an FYI.  So if you cannot really use it till your child can really sit up well.  I'd go with something that has a full recline.  I think the only Maclaren that doesn't recline is the Volo.  Also, have you seen Phil & Teds smart buggy??  Super, super cute!!!  Love that, not sure if it reclines though.

  • Uppababy G-Luxe.  It reclines and a couple of my friends have it and love it, only downside is the weight limit is 40 lbs.  But I feel like once she's 40 lbs two things will have happened:  1) she should be walking, 2) there will be another child and therefore a stroller upgrade.

  • Love my Quinny Zapp.
  • I started out looking at a travel system, chicco cortina, but thought about handling a honking stroller after dropping DS off at day care and decided against.  I looked at quite a few lightweight strollers and narrowed my list down to the joovy kooper, bj city mini, inglesina swift, peg perego si and peg  perego pliko 3.  I ended up with a peg perego si that fits my paticular need and meets all of your criteria above.  However the strolelrs that made my short list are all good ones to consider.

those are all the strollers on my list as of last night after doing some research. we already have the quinny buzz and i absolutely love it. i just need something smaller for trips. We go to the out islands of the bahamas a lot and that monster won't even begin to fit on the plane. i also found the cybex strollers last night and like them alot. there are just too many choices!!

  • Baby Jogger City Mini!  There's a reason it's one of the most popular strollers in NYC... It has a one-handed fold and weighs only 16 lbs.  Great for getting up and down subway stairs, in and out of cars, and traveling in general.  I've seen a lot of people gate-checking them at airports, too.  My second suggestions would be a MacLaren or the Uppa G-Luxe.
