Toys for Christmas

What toys are you looking at getting LO for Christmas?  I've started researching and looking at reviews, but it's so hard to know what they will like!  My DD will be seven months by Christmas so I want to make sure I get her something fun.

Ideas?  Does your LO have any favorite toys already.  She has her playmat and exersaucer and loves those.

  • Mine will be 8 months. I really depend on those reviews to know quality products and I happily add to the reviews as I purchase newer products. My son will be 8 months and I am really looking forward to his first Christmas. As far as what to get him, his presonality is blossoming so much I dont know what he'll like then either.

  • We aren't buying her any toys.  I figure everyone else will get her toys so we are just getting her a couple practical things since she's so little & won't know what's going on anyway.  Toys for sure in future years though.

  • There's a FP tea set that teaches manners - my mom is planning on purchasing it for LO. We're also doing stackers, colors & shapes, clothes and other necessities. DD's grandparents, aunts & uncles are already buying her stuff and spoiling her.

Pretty much this exactly.  Ours is the first grandchild on both sides, and DH and I both have multiple siblings, so we expect DS to get lots of toys and gifts.  Since we don't have much room in our house already, we'll be just picking up a few small things.  I'm thinking more educational items but haven't really started to look into it too much.

  • We won't be buying much this year, but I want to start researching so I can tell my mom (or anyone who asks) what kinds of things he'd like.  I told her a jumperoo, but we might get one before then so then I told her wood blocks.  I really have no idea.

This. DH & I are buying one small toy each & then getting her a savings bond since she doesn't know what's going on this year. ?Plus our families spoil her.

  • I am hoping that he will be sitting up more by Christmas, so I wanted to get him the Baby Einstein Entertainer.

And I wanted to get him the Nursery Horse Rocker from Pottery Barn Kids.  It is for 18 months or older, but it really traditional (Christmasy) and baby would take good pictures if we supported him.  It is like getting your baby a pony--ride em horsey!

  • Maybe some push toys, music/activity table they can stand up to play with (they'll start pulling up around that age). Stacking cups, shape sorting toys, a busy ball popper (my son LOVED this when he started sitting up).
