When did you switch from the bassinet (or carseat) to the regular stroller seat? DS is 4.5 months and he's getting so heavy that I can barely carry him in the carseat anymore and he has hated the bassinet since day one.
We have a bugaboo so you can tilt back the seat when they're little...but I don't want to switch over if it's too early (does he have to be able to hold his head up?).

We have the Bugaboo and I switched from the bassinet to the seat when my son was 4 months old. I used full recline (flat) until he could sit up on his own at 6 months and then I used the 2nd position forever. I think I finally felt comfortable enough with 3rd position when he was 13 months, it is very straight up and down. Oh and when you finally go to the 3rd position, use the bumper bar!! It is a must because the straps suck in my opinion on the Bugaboo. You will see what I mean eventually, they don't stay tight very well and are always falling down. Drives me nuts.
My son enjoyed the seat so much more then the bassinet, he was just getting to be nosy enough where I didn't think he liked hiding in the car seat or bassinet anymore, it is hard for them to really look out.
As long as they can hold their head up you are fine to switch, most of them have guidelines in the instructions.
Ours (bumbleride) has a bassinet too, we have never used it attached to the stroller, she hated it, but we used it for her to sleep in at a friends and my mom's so at least it came in handy. She's not overly happy in her carseat either so I think I am going to switch her over soon too.
