metal mouth

my mom had "metal mouth" during all three of her pregnancies. she is many years past menopause and just had three straight days of it!

does anyone know what causes it? what do you do about it?

I've always heard that tasting metal means that you're bleeding internally. But don't know if that's true. I've had that a couple times but no idea why.

I've had it associated with migraines and I think with an antidepressant or mood regulator. I can't remember exactly as it's been a while.
