Pregnant after IF

PIO intensifying symptoms??

I feel like being on PIO is intensifying my symptoms....or that I am just having riduculously intense symptoms! I am 5w3d and am amazed at the symptoms I am having already. I hate that I don't know if I can blame them on being pregnant, or side effect of pio. The biggest is cramping. By the end of the day my uterus is so sore....it seems to be better in the mornings, and just gets worse as the day goes on. Add to that the sore butt and back, and I'm just a mess! I'm trying to not be paranoid and call the dr....but it is definitely hard. I have to call the nurse tomorrow to get more syringes, so I'm going to mention it just to make sure I shouldn't be worried. Anyone else??

Re: PIO intensifying symptoms??

  • My insides were sore for about 9 weeks and then it started to level off. I got off of the PIOs at about that time but then your body picks up where the PIOs left off. I still have sore spots on my hips and a numb tingly spot low on my hip and I am at 23 weeks. The PIOs intensified my sciatic nerve pain. That went away around 12 weeks. Good luck but it does get better.

  • I agree that I think PIO makes me worse. I have no craming though, just ovary pain, espeically if I had done too much. I can barley brush my teeth and every weird random smell sends me running for the bathroom.

I would mention it since you are calling the RE anyway. Never hurts to ask.

  • Cramping like that is pretty common during the first tri. Your ute is growing to get ready for your LO. I would try not to worry too much. The PIO can definitely make you more tired etc.
