Trying to Get Pregnant

Question about cycle length and OPKs

I want to start using OPKs this cycle. I've been keeping track of the length of my cycles since May, but not charting my temp or anything yet. I know I should chart my temps too, and might start that this cycle too. But if I decide to try the OPK first, which cycle length do I base the use of the OPK on? The lengths range from 26 days to 36 days this cycle. So do I use the shortest cycle, the longest cycle, or the average of all my cycles?

TIA!

Re: Question about cycle length and OPKs

  • As far as I have heard, use the shortest cycle to base your testing off of.

  • If you have internet cheapies, I would start as early as day 10.

  • I would buy a whole slew of Internet cheapies from Amazon and test starting at CD 10. Missing your O would stink!!

I was just going to go to Target and get some, but I agree, missing my O would stink so off to Amazon I go!

    Thanks ladies!

  • Go off of your shortest cycle. Here is a handy dandy chart:
