Trying to Get Pregnant

Spotting for 4, 5, 6 days?

Has this happened to anyone else?  I am not asking if I am pregnant or anything, but this cycle and last has been quite strange for me.

I have never spotted or bled before my period.  It usually just starts full force.  But I have been "spotting" for the past several days...not even spotting really.  It is red blood, but it is not enough to be considered a period.  It is enough that I wear a panty liner, but it is a small amount.

Any ideas?  Should I be concerned?

is it still considered "spotting" if it is red in color vs. brown/pinkish?

  • Unfortunately, every cycle, I spot for about 4 days, maybe 5. That combined with my 7-8 day period means I feel like I am always bleeding...ugh. My spotting varies in color. I think mine becomes more red as I approach AF.

  • I normally spot a few days before and after AF. I put light if it fills up a panty liner. If it's just on the TP, I call it spotting. I've asked my doctor about spotting so much, and she said as of right now, it is fine because I have longer LPs. If I had shorter LPs then it could be a problem with progesterone. If you are worried, then talk to your Dr. but it is normal to spot.
