3rd Trimester

A big fat thank you to those who support the military ;)

I know a bunch of you remember the thread where that evil tw*t AE posted a bunch of terrible things about the military. You guys came out in waves supporting the military and sticking up for my H. Some of you did it again when she tried to start the same stuff today. I really appreciate seeing all the positive responses! It is amazing to feel the support behind the military and their (our) families. Please accept my thanks to all of you!

    Absolutely THIS.  Big Smile

  • I missed that one - glad I did.  My DH was Navy, Dad was Army, so was FIL and BIL was a Marine and is now Nat'l Guard.  I think I would have smacked her into next week!!

DH is out, which suits me just fine.  I have a lot of respect for those of you who keep on keepin' on with the military life.  It's not easy!!  HUGS to you and your guy!

I hate @$$holes who try speaking up against servicemen and women. I hate even more the people who protest at their funerals.

Thank you and your husband for being brave.

There was a group who tried to do that here a few months ago. A few members from my brothers unit showed up (they didn't even know the soldier that died) just to "guard" for the family. Really sad that people go to such lengths for such an ignorant plight.

  • Missed the original post...wish I had seen it.   DH is in the reserves and has been deployed 3 times in the past 7 years.  Cannot imagine what it would be like if he was in full-time.  I would probably never get to see him.

  • I cant imagine my husband not being able to be with me during this important time in my life. I am not sure of your situation but either way, know that he is in my prayers every night along with all of our service men and their families! God Bless!!

    THIS 100x.

My grandmother once asked my cousin why he re-joined the marines after 9/11, leaving his wife and sons. He told her "Grandma, if I don't fight for freedom for my sons, family and friends, who will?"

I thank god everyday for those willing to give all they have (including their lives) so that the rest of us don't have to. For those who feel differently, don't bother to pack your winter coat, the middle east is warm enough. Whether or not I believe in the reason for a war (or whatever), I still support the men and women doing the best they can for all of us.

My H is home (thank God) with me and will be home for the birth of our daughter...there are many women who are left alone while their husbands are gone though and I give them some major kudos.

I didnt see what was said, but I completely agree with this.  My parents were all in the military and I have so much respect for military and their family members.

  • I missed what happened, but I'm kind of glad I did, my husband is in the army, and we are preparing ourselves for the next deployment.. My husband is going to be missing the first year of his son.. we lucked out with a good command to allowing him to be here for the birth, but he will be leaving at some point afterwards, and its going to be the hardest thing for us.

I just want to say thank you to the ladies who did step up and defended our service members, it means a lot. Thank You

  • who was an a$$hole enough to say anything bad about military? DH is military and im damn proud of everything my husband does for our country!! what did i miss?
  • A big thank you coming to you and your DH for everything you do  Your DH for serving our country and You for supporting him.

I know it's not easy.  I was in the army myself (but never technically got out of training) and my little brother is in the air force so I understand.
