Newbie Question: BBT Recommendations

Hey Everyone,

I apologize if this question has been asked before (I'm still trying to learn and read everything), but after lurking for a few days I realized I need to get on the charting and BBT band wagon. Are there any certain brands of thermometer's that are good quality for this? Any to stay away from? Want to make sure I start off on the right-foot. Thank you!!

I use the CVS brand. It's fine. It's a little slow to temp, but I don't mind that. It has a memory so I just temp then go back to sleep. I look up the number later and chart it.

I bought mine at Target 2 mos ago. It was on sale for $8. It's the Up & Up brand. It seems to work fine.

I use this. Has a backlight and memory. It does beep while you're temping, but at least you can be sure it's working.

I'm using one from Target and have had no problems. It has memory as well if you want to record your temp later. GL!

Just make sure it is a BBT thermometer and not a fever thermometer. I got mine from a pharmacy... or target. I forget. One with a memory recall is a bonus, just in case you forget to write down the temp, or write it wrong.

I use this one. Love the features. I do kinda wish it did temps in the hundredths, but according to TCOYF to the tenths is preferred over hundredths.

I have this one as well. I like the memory and backlight. The beeping while temping is kinda annoying, I hate when it wakes DH up! I recently put a piece of duct tape over the sound hole, and it is slightly better.

This! Although, I must say that is does seem to have some "favorite" temps.

I use the Walgreen's brand. It does store the last temp, but it will only flash once the first time you turn it on. Then, it is gone for good, lol! It isn't backlit, but I just use my phone to see it. I sometimes can't hear when it beeps, but I temp vaginally and I have a fan going in our room every night. It does have its favorite temps, but I usually see my surge.
