San Diego Mamas - pedi recs
Hello everyone,
I posted this on the San Diego board, but since there's so little activity I thought I would reach out on the regular boards, as well.
I am thinking of switching pedis. The one we currently see is rather condesending (sp?) toward us. If DH goes with me to appointments and asks questions, the pedi answers to me and doesn't acknowledge DH. I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling from her or her nurses either. She's just very business-oriented and runs through her checklist of questions in 8 minutes. The only reason I've been sticking with her is that she is so convenient location-wise, being only five minutes from our house. But I think I would truly prefer a medical partner in my child's health and development as opposed to a lecturer. I know there are some great pedis out there, so I thought I'd reach out to see if any of you San Diego area mamas would recommend your pediatrician.

I work in La Jolla, and that's generally where DH and I have our doctors. We live in La Mesa, and the only reason I went with the pedi in La Mesa is just that she's five minutes away. Now I'm thinking that we can get better care elsewhere. Is your pedi with Scripps? Accepting new patients?

We see Dr. Parsons with Childrens Primary Care on Girard. She is wonderful. The front desk is not always the friendliest though, but if you can get past that, she is awesome. She spends as much time with you as you need. They are affiliated with Rady's.
I'm pretty sure they are accepting new patients and they do take most insurance.
