After hanging out with my friend and her daughter, DD and I seemed to have picked up their colds. My throat is really sore (soft palate...you know, where it's just really uncomfortable and annoying and you know you're going to have a whopper of a cold), and I think DD's feeling the same way. She started coughing tonight (well, she was with her dad all day, so I'm not sure if she began coughing earlier), and has woken twice because of her coughing, and then was just totally miserable, exhausted, uncomfortable, and inconsolable.
I gave her some tylenol to help with the soreness of her throat. I'm htinking I'll give her some honey tomorrow night before bed. Any other suggestions? I hate seeing her so miserable. I feel totally helpless. Just wondering if anyone has any home remedies that seem to work for your LO. TIA!
Re: NSPR: DD's sick
I use the humidifier and it works wonders. Also, if the cough/congestion is really bad, take her in the bathroom and turn on the shower so the steam can really loosen things up.
Sorry she is sick and GL!
