Hi ladies,
my name is Maddy and I need some help. My husband and I are going to TTC next month. We have a 4 year old and he was a total surprise.
Charting is new to me. I was on Fertility Friend and it shows that I am most fertile next week on the 5th, 6th, 7th with Ovulation day being 8th.
What do you suggest, dtd all those days or just every other day? and do you suggest me getting a fertility monitor? AF is here now came on Sat.
can you tell Iam confused lol...
please help!!
thanks ladies
Re: Hi New here and need some help.
I'm sorry, I don't understand if you haven't charted before how FF could tell you when you will be fertile...?
And please post your chart when you start and read the tutorials and Taking Charge of Your Fertility.
I haven't yet used a fertility monitor or OPKs but I will be next month, assuming AF shows. GL!
Hi and welcome! I hope you're stay here is short and sweet.
Fertility Friend is indicating the 5th-8th as your most fertile days based off an estimation of your cycle length; it doesn't necessarily mean this is when you'll ovulate. You'll have to temp every day to get a true indication of when your fertile time frame would be. I suggest temping every day, recording your CM, and when in doubt, hump it out. This is my first cycle using OPKs, so I'm still figuring them out. I'm sure some other ladies here can answer any questions you may have regarding them.
Good luck!
If charting is new to you, FF won't really know when you should ovulate. I would recommend using OPKs/some fertility monitor.
Can't hurt to have sex ED during your projected fertile period, but if the thought tires you out (especially since you don't really know how long it will take to O!), EOD is safe too. Otherwise, just ED around the time OPKs/fertility monitors tell you is your fertile period.
HTH! I don't use OPKs/etc, so hopefully someone who does will give you more experienced advice!
Thanks! LOL guess I don't remember that happening.. It wasn't that long ago...
