Trying to Get Pregnant

I can't take it anymore!

All of this not knowing and uncertainty has gotten the best of me.  I'm surprised I held out this long.

How quickly I forget, but after my m/c earlier this month, I swore off charting saying I'd rather not know if I have anyther c/p because it was too hard to deal with.  But now I'm findinf myself obsessing even more over not knowing if I ovulated, when i'll ovulate, where I am in my cycle, etc......

So I caved.  MH said he knew it was only a matter of time before I felt the need to chart again.  He was right.  So last night, I caved to my rising urge to pee on something and I peed on an OPK.  It was negative.  So I thought maybe, just maybe I already ovulated, so I temped this morning.  Looks like I didn't o yet, but I'll temp again tomorrow.

Long story short, I think I'm back to charting.  I miss it!!!!!

  • I think that the anxiety parts of charting get better over time. I know that when I first started- I was SUPER anxious and checking my chart and waking myself up to temp at like 3am. It got better and less crazy for me over time. Hopefully it will be the same for you too!!

    Fingers crossed for you girl!

PS- MH starts clomid this week! Yeah!

  • Best wishes you. Glad you got back to charting! I HAVE to know as well.
  • I get anxious over my chart as well.  I am starting Cycle 4 today so I am hoping that I get less anxious this cycle, but I think I am too type A personality.  Good luck to you!

Oooo, exciting!  So far, it hasn't changed MH's mood or attitude, or anything, and he hasn't grown boobies or lost his hair or had blury vision or anything.  As of August, it definitely raised his testosterone, but it also raised his estrogen, which they are "keeping an eye on."  He doesn't go for his next SA until the end of November, though, and he'll know the results the first week in December.

  • Aww, I was impressed with you for not charting, and I considered it for a while, but to me, it would be more stressful to not know.  That is why I still chart.  So, you have to do what's best for you, and I agree that it is more stressful not knowing.  Good luck girlie!  I'm also glad I can stalk you now!!

lol.  I know, I know.  I'm boring to stalk without a chart.  And MH reminded me that my Dr. said if I have 2-3 m/c's in a row, he'd want to do genetic testing to make sure our genes aren't the problem, so I guess it's "better" if we know if it happens again.

Thanks, May.  Looks like you're right back on track.  Lucky.  I was sad to see how low my temp was this morning.  I was HOPING I was 7DPO today, but looks like from my temp I haven't o'ed yet.  I didn't think I did, because I didn't have any o pains when I had EWCM last week, but I still hoped.  I'll just have to get back into the swing of things and hope it all works out for me for realz soon.

What fun would that be?  Watching and obsessing over my 2ww temps is the best part!  lol.  It's this waiting to o bs that I don't like.

We went to see a new Uro (my new hero- I call him SuperUro) who specializes in MFI. He said that in overweight men (like my little chubby DH) have an over production of this certain enzyme that converts T into E. So they put him on some meds to block the production of the enzyme and then Clomid to help the T production. We'll repeat blood work in 4 weeks and then if the T #'s are up- we'll keep going and repeat SA in 3 months. Fingers crossed.

Oh, that's great!  I kind of love MH's urologist, too.  See, all you needed was a good Urologist.  Forget about these stupid endocrinologists.  Whatever THAT means......  lol.  Good luck!  I hope it helps him.

  • Yeah, after charting for 3 years, I'm not sure if I could not do it! Its just easier for me to know what is going on, even if that means knowing the bad.
