Travel Swing

Anyone just using a travel swing? Long story short, FIL screwed us over so it looks like it's our best option. I just don't want to be sorry later.

    i kinda want to hear the long story! and to answer your question, we're gonna try to get away with a bouncy seat at first. I'm definitely interested in the travel swings though since we don't have much space to spare.

    Im curious too!  We have a full sized swing that SIL passed down to us and a travel swing that one of the moms at work passed down.  Everyone has said their LOs loved the travel swing.

    DS liked to rock side-to-side instead of front-to-back so at home we used a full sized swing.

    When we visited places we used the travel swing and it was OK but he definitely didn't love the front-to-back motion.

    I'm getting a portable swing.  Our house is really small, and we just don't have the room for a regular swing.

    Lol, alright here's the full story. I guess it's not really that long... The swing was really the only left that we weren't gifted so I budgeted to buy it ourselves. This baby wasn't planned and we really don't have a lot of extra money right now, so everything got put into a budget. FIL told us they would buy the swing so I spent the rest of the baby money. He kept putting it off and telling us he would do it "next weekend" well finally yesterday he got around to it and shipping would take too long apparently so he just sent me $100 to buy it. I only have a Wal-Mart in my town and they only sell one cradle swing (which is the kind I really wanted) and it's more than $100. The one they were going to buy was more than that too! So basically I'm going to have to pay the difference even though I don't have the money for it (and get a swing I don't really want) or get something else, like a travel swing.
