Trying to Get Pregnant

WWYD: work or sex?

Does sex in AM vs PM matter for ovulation? For instance, could I ovulate during the day & miss the opportunity? Or would it be the same chances before or after ovulation as long as it's the same day?

Here's the deal: DH & I had sex Fri night & haven't seen each other since then (he's been on a 48 hr shift). I've had positive OPKs yesterday & today. He will get home tomorrow morning, after I've left for work, so I won't see him until tomorrow evening.

I feel ridiculous even saying this, but I'm wondering if I should call in late to work so we can do the deed before I go in. I don't really want to b/c I have a lot to do at work tomorrow & of course I feel totally unprofessional calling in late to have sex, but I will if it makes a difference in my chances of getting KU. What would you do? (Hopefully this is making sense.)

*Edited to say DH & I had sex...not DS! Eww.

  • in answer to your question though--I think the egg can live for 12-36 hours once you ovulate (someone correct me if I'm wrong) so you can probably still have sex that night an be ok

I just found info on FF saying it's 12-24 hrs 'or maybe less', so I guess it all depends on when I ovulate. (assuming it's even tomorrow) Maybe I'll try to run home for a quickie during lunch. Smile

  • I say call in late for work, or see if you can meet your hubby for a lunch quickie? At this point I would do anything to not miss a time to have sex and maybe make a baby :)
