I am curious what other 2 to 3 moth olds are eating how much and when? I went from breastfeeding to formula due to my milk drying up because of numerous mastitis infections. So I think we are a bit lost and off. I called the doctor for advice and waiting to hear back.
We are feeding 6 oz every 5 hours. We do have a set "bedtime" where he will go down after the bottle and stay asleep until the middle of the night feed and goes down again til his morning feed about 6:30. He is now getting hungry sooner though and I am not sure what to do.. I am thinking I should fee him more often with less oz. during the day? Thanks.
Re: 2-3 month old feeding schedule please
We just increased DD's oz. She now takes 5 oz (occasionally she will not finish it all) every 3-4 hours during the day. I try not to let her go past 4 hours so she will get her feedings in.
At night we feed her last bottle to her between 8 -9 pm and she will sleep until about 2 - 3 am. She has another bottle and sleeps until 6-7 am. She takes a total of 6 bottles per day and averages between 27-30 oz per day.
I would do smaller bottles more often. 5 hours seems like a long time to go during the day without eating. It would be a long time for me to go without eating.
When Annalise started daycare at 3 months, she was getting 4oz bottles there about every 3 hours. She was also sttn at that point, so I'd guess she took about 24-28oz each day.

My LO has 6-7 nursing sessions per day about every three hours.
