i've been having the same problem, and picking up my 25lb son isnt helping either - i actually feel like im getting stabbed in my upper thigh. i talked to my dr and she said some tylenol and a little exercise that's supposed to help is: get down on your hands and knees and arch your back up slowly and release back down slowly. didnt work for me though =[
Maybe try a heating pad, but also seriously look into a chiropractor - I had wicked sciatica when I was pg with my DS, and this pg I've been going to a chiro since my second trimester and I've barely had any at all. I was a total skeptic of chiropractics, too, until mine made the pain go away, ha ha ha. hth
I've had it too. It's gotten a lot better since I left my job though since I was on my feet and walking the whole time. Stretching and exercise can help sometimes but in my case the only thing that helps is to stay off the leg.
