How have you been sleeping?

Of course, I'm sure it's b/c this is brand new to me, but I feel like I didn't sleep a wink last night. I tossed and turned until about 2am, then woke up around 4:45 to pee and couldn't get back to sleep. My head is just spinning (in a good way).

Those of you who have let it "sink in" already, how have you been sleeping? I'm sure it's just because this is so new and I'm so excited, but I"m hoping I can turn my brain off and sleep well tonight! *yawn*

Re: How have you been sleeping?

  • i am sleeping horribly - and i still am not sure it has sunk in

i have been napping at points too because i have been so tired- but last night i got into bed and could not fall asleep, then i was up at 4:50 and awake until 6:30 when i finally fell back to sleep for 30 minutes.  i am not sure why i am sleeping  so poorly - excitment, having to pee, or stress

  • I've been having a hard time sleeping.  Its hard to fall asleep when you are nauseous and have to pee every 5 minutes.  Bleh.

  • I have not been sleeping well at all and I've known for over a week! The only thing I can equate it to is during the weeks I get my period I seriously struggle with getting a good nights sleep so I wonder if its how my body reacts to a change in my hormones. Whatever it is, it is making me crazy because I have a hard time napping even!

  • I've been sleeping pretty good actually.  Exhaustion is starting to hit me.

  • i will also say that napping occurs far more easily,.  when i get into bed at night - i know that i will have to pee at least 3 times before finally falling to sleep - i feel like it affects me more then

  • I haven't been sleeping good either. It doesn't take me long to go to sleep but if I wake up in the middle of the night, I can't go back to sleep. Last night it was from 2:30-3:30. I'm also a stomach sleeper and my paranoid self thinks I'll crush the baby if I sleep on my stomach Embarrassed. I know it won't happen but I can't stop thinking about it.

  • Last week I slept horribly, but I think it was due to all the excitement of getting that BFP.  I have felt fairly tired though and have been sleeping well since Thursday/Friday.  I think the bad sleep for me was totally me not being able to shut my brain off.

  • I've been getting up to pee in the middle of the night a lot, which is so not normal for me. Very annoying! I'm going to try to cut off myself off from liquids after dinner time and see if that helps.

  • I have been getting terrible sleep. I had a feeling I was pregnant before I got my BFP so it wasn't a shock when those two lines showed up. But I just can't seem to get a good nights rest. Between me getting up about 3 times a night to pee and my son crawling into my bed, I spend half the night tossing and turning. I hope this ends soon!
  • I have been absolutely exhausted - sleeping like a rock! And multiple times a day.... I go to take a nap and wake up three hours later, still tired!
  • I have been getting awful sleep too.  I usually wake up to pee or I get cramps which usually meants I need to go to the bathroom for a bowel movement (sorry for the TMI).  My stomach has been in all sorts of wacky lately.

  • I haven't been sleeping great either. I pass out early but usually awake around 2 then fall back asleep around 3 and up an hr later to pee and then cannot fall back asleep!

  • I dont sleep well either I dont fall asleep til 2am then wake up with nausea, thirsty, and having to use the bathroom...might be mixed with excitement too..I expected to be exhausted but I guess it will kick in later on.
  • I'm so glad I'm not the only one - my sleep schedule has been so awful lately!

Up until 1 or later, can't get to sleep (even though was.so.tired earlier that evening/day). Waking up in the night at 4:30 and can't sleep until DH alarm goes off at 7. Then so exhausted I finally fall back asleep (I work from home w/flexible hours TG). Also, like I mentioned, during the day I have little fits of pure exhuastion - at the moment, laying down - not even napping - is re-energizing me enough though, which I'm thankful for as I'm not usually a good napper. It hasn't fully sunk in for me either, though I'm starting to get more excited. This period is so scary, I didn't anticipate not being able to feel pure joy/excitement/anxiety :) right away.

  • I haven't been sleeping at all. I am totally exhausted during the day and by 9:00 I am out cold, only to wake up around 3am and doze in and out for the rest of the night!
  • The exhaustion is definitely setting in for me and I took a nap both days this weekend.  I've been going to bed about an hour earlier than normal, but I've been waking up in the middle of the night to pee (so not normal) and then when I wake up, I can't go back to sleep for like an hour.  Not fun!

  • 2 words:  Nap Time

I sleep pretty good at night and still come home from work and nap every day before I cook dinner and walk.

Hope it's just the excitement and you get some good sleep soon!  Sleep is priceless.

  • haha I fell asleep pretty easily as I was exhausted! however, I did wake up quite a few times, and then before my alarm even had a chance to wake me up this morning.

  • I haven't been sleeping very well.  It's hard to get comfy b/c of sore boobs, and my legs have been pretty itchy during the night too.  Add an extra trip to the bathroom, and I'm tossing and turning all night.

I'm really thankful I get home an hour+ before DH so I can get a little nap/rest in every day.

  • I've been sleeping great!  Ever since I got my BFP - I think charting was making me anxious.

Even though I get up a couple of times each night to go to the bathroom, I still fall right back asleep.

  • I'm sleeping ok.  Other than getting up to pee once or twice I feel pretty rested in the mornings.  For now :)

  • Wow- this makes me feel so much more normal!  :)

I haven't been sleeping well but mostly because of crazy dreams and having to pee.  Not sure about the dreams- probably some anxiety my brain is sorting out.

  • Found out last night. It's "sinking in". Went to bed at 2 and woke up at 6(alarm set for 9:30). Brain going a mile a minute!
