. . . um. did we just conceive?
hi everyone-- I went off BC on Wednesday, and we had sex that night. I know this sounds crazy, but I'm pretty sure I ovulated the next day. And today, Sunday, I've felt strange cramping and twinges and at one point this bizarre sensation of heat in my lower abdomen. I can feel my uterus-- I know exactly where it is, which is . . . weird.
So. I know this sounds like I'm just being preematurely hopeful, but is it possible that this is implantation on the third day after fertilization? I've seen other posts where people said it could happen. . . I don't know.
Or on the other hand, it could just be my body not knowing what to do with itself after 2 years of birth control.

Probably not...
Get a copy of TCOYF and start charting using FF (link in my signature). You'll learn a lot about your body and when you're ovulating - the 28-day cycle/day 14 ovulating is a myth. GL

I'm going to guess it's your last thought.
From my understanding, implantation normally happens 7-10 DPO. I think 3 days would not be enough time.
I know it is possible to ovulated right after stopping BC, but I would wait two weeks w/o a period to test. If this isn't it for you, I would recommend charting your basal body temperatures so you can confirm ovulation. Your body can definitely be wonky coming off BC, so charting can help let you now what's going on.

So, OP, that's very exciting. Was there any glitter? What did it feel like when the sperm penetrated the egg. Can you tell what sex it is?

The chances of you ovulating the day after you get off the BCP you've been on for two years is very slim. I would venture so far as to say nearly impossible.
Let's say that by some chance you did indeed manage to ovulate the day off BC. Implantation doesn't occur three days after the fact, it's usually between 7-10 DPO (days past ovulation).
What you're feeling in your uterus could be anything... gas... stomach pains... digestion... but the chance that you are feeling cramping/twinges from pregnancy already? Eh, sorry no.
I think it'd be best for you to learn some more about your body before getting your hopes up each cycle. If you did, you would know how improbable it is that you are KU right now. The women around here use Fertility Friend (click on my ovulation chart to learn more about charting) and check out amazon.com for the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's really cheap for used copies online and you will be able to take the guess work out of what your body is doing during any part of your cycle.

I had the same symptoms right after DH and I had sex and apparently conceived. I really was pregnant.
BUT the whole being really hot after sex....well that one just means it was good
