Thanks (hopefully just so far).  I have Pinkalicious and Purplicious on her wish list because she loves them from school.  And from Nanner's list the Alexander yada yada no good terrible yada yada something is also on her list - it had rave reviews on Amazon.  Now I'll go check out the others you guys mentioned. :-)

I don't have children but I teach in Early Childhood... These are some books that my kids LOVE!

Lot's of the Eric Carle's - Brown Bear Brown Bear, Hungry Catepillar, Angry Ladybug (These are great because they can learn to memorize them and "read" them to you)

Books Written by Jamie Lee Curtis (The illustrations are very engaging and really good story lines)

    Good Night Moon

If she like's Dora- there are some really good Dora books out there. They've got really good repition

Have you filled a bucket today

    Love you Forever

    Oh, David

    The Fancy Nancy Series

If she likes silly rhymes look for books called "Llama Llama...." There are a bunch of them and they are so silly.

Thanks! I found the bucket one last night - I like the adult version so I was excited to find a kid's version.  I'll look up some of these she isn't familiar with.

She has memorized the Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, all the Madeline books, Pinkalicious and Purplicious, Splat Cat, and several others.  She "reads" them to her class now so I'm looking for more to feed her appetite!

Also, Theres a Monster at the End of This Book is a huge fave right now.

    * "The Napping House" by Audrey and Don Wood

    * "Dog Breath" or any book by Dav Pilkey

    *  "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" Bill Martin Jr. & John Archambault (we have the CD that goes along with this and K LOVES it, too)

Thanks!  I had most of those on the list - glad to know we're in the right direction.  We already had Where the Sidewalk Ends and The Missing Piece - I love his work.  I have an, um, adult Shel Silverstein book too.
