I tried Tide Stain Release when I had a free sample. My clothes came out still stained.
I prefer to pretreat with Shout Advanced. It works wonders! I also add Oxi-Clean powder to the water when I'm washing DD's clothes or my light colored loads.
The best one I've ever found is Grandma's Miracle stain remover. You can get it in fabric stores, or Michael's ... I've even seen it it Walgreens. It's a pretreat and I was able to get ink out of my 800 count sheets after they had been washed and dried.
I was just lurking, but I have a 15 mo old, so I deal with a lot of stains. I have had the best luck with Oxy-Clean. I rinse the item right away and then when I have time (usually that night), I soak in Oxy-Clean for a couple of hours and then wash. I don't have much luck though just adding it in the washer, it only seems to work on the tough stains if I soak the garment beforehand.

Just looking for when baby arrives, so any kind of baby stain I guess
My daughter had a lot of poop-outs and baby oxi-clean worked great!
We now use oxi-clean for all of her other messes...I will stick with it for baby #2. My MIL now swears by it...
