3rd Trimester

Has anyone seen these dolls?

They REALLY creep me out.

They are pregnant "dolls" that give birth and then their "baby" can breastfeed.  The "mommy" has half a snap and the "baby" has the other half.

CREEPY.

Mamour Dolls

Yeah...my pics were so old. I got 3 kids. Nuff said. :)

  • I'm not sure what I think of those.  I don't think I have an opinion either way.
  • I could see for "educational purposes" like in an academic setting.  The hospital, sibling classes.

But all I can picture is some little girl running around "birthing" babies.

    Weirds me out.

  • LOL. The music was making it even more disturbing.
  • wow. they are sold for "children over 3". What happens when all the little girls that own these dolls start "breastfeeding" their other baby dolls?

  • I actually think they are interesting.  I don't find then creepy at all.  They are just showing natural bodily functions.  I think that they would be great educational tools to teach kids about pregnancy/birth/breastfeeding.  I would let my kids play with them.

When I was little, we would always "birth" our baby dolls when we we played "house". I don't think these dolls will have any effect on little girls wanting to play mommy. To be honest, I think this is more for the benefit of parents who want their kids to be indoctrinated (for lack of a better word) with natural birthing practices.

Yes, what would happen? Do you also have an issue with little girls bottle feeding their baby dolls?

  • The only thing I find creepy are the nips. They're these friendly looking dolls with industrial nipples.
  • WTF is the point of that?! How stupid and creepy!!

  • Haha, they're kind of cute. I love the little cloth diaper on the one baby.

One mama did look like a grandma though, Hmm

I agree with this.  Not a fan of the snap nips.  I don't like the idea of my daughter running around with a baby doll hanging off her mama doll's shiny metal snap nipple.

That said, I've never, ever, EVER had a problem with my daughter birthing OR nursing her baby dolls.  That's how things work around here and I'm delighted she's got some vague knowledge of the process. . .

  • I find these very strange!
