This cycle is messing with my head

I'm 13DPO.  Every other cycle for a little less than a year, spotting has started by today (usually at 12DPO) and my temp has dropped.  This cycle- no spotting and my temp is still up, not plummeting like usual.  I usually take phantom symptoms with a grain of salt, but I've had abnormal (for me) symptoms this cycle (heartburn, indigestion, skin breakout, creamy CM), which threw me off a little...

 But with all of that- BFN again this morning.

I know it's not over until AF shows up, but with all of these 9DPO BFPs lately, I feel like I'm out.

So besides venting (thanks!), I'm wondering... how optimistic are you guys normally? Do you still hold out hope, even when it seems unlikely? Would you give up this cycle?

    I'm wondering if you might be 11dpo instead of 13dpo. I don't know anything about the monitors, but with OPKs, you can O up to 2 days after your +. Your temps seem like more of a jump at CD17.

    That said, it's not over til it's over, so no, don't give up hope just yet!

    I'm not sure what you mean by 'give up this cycle'...what are you going to do if you 'give up'? I don't give up hope until AF is in full swing.

    It looks to me like your LP is usually around 14 days. Tomorrow will be the real test. See what you temp does then. That said, you aren't out yet. Here's to hoping for a BFP for you in the next few days..

    I don't really hope for anything anymore, but I am a pessimist. My first cycle was the only cycle I had my hopes up really high & when it didn't happen, I was crushed. The only thing I hope for now is that my LP lengthens..

    your chart looks good and your symptoms are spot on.  According to FF, only 10% of women test positive at 10dpo...meaning 90% do not. A lot of women will not get a positive until the day their period is due. Just hang in there- i know it's hard, but don't judge based off of others on here...everyone's body is so different. Hang tight- you're not out yet :)

    I was thinking of a different O date too.... she could have o'd CD 19, which i think would put her four days back... some time around 9dpo

    Thanks ladies! I was thinking that the O date might be off too... in all my cycles except one I have O'd on the day after Peak on the CBFM, so I'm thinking I may be 12DPO or maybe 11DPO. I guess 9DPO is possible, but it doesn't really line up with the way my temps usually go.

    MrsJones- I guess I normally just kind of expect AF to show up around now, so this is unusual for me.  I generally try to avoid the disappointment, but I can't seem to help it this time :(

    You're not out 'til you're out. And the temps look good. I'd certainly still hold out hope. I know we've had lots of BFPs on here lately that were very early (10-12 DPO) but that doesn't happen for everyone. Just wait to see what tomorrow brings. I hope it brings a BFP :-)

    Thanks Lynn!! I'm feeling much calmer now.  That BFN this morning just got to me... keeping my fingers crossed until I see AF :)
