::in the scream voice::
Ok, I'm far too hormonal/paranoid to start watching in preparation for Halloween. I'll live through you guys...
My favorite is either the original Halloween, The Exorcist, or Paranormal Activity. (I know, I really narrowed it down!)
Re: What's your favorite scary movie?
I prefer scary movies with a sense of humor (like Scream) or ones that are more psychological (like The Silence of the Lambs).
I don't care for gore porn or movies that are gratuitously violent. That's too easy. I prefer the filmmakers put some effort into the scares instead of just adding more blood and dismembering a few bodies.
Unable to even.

You don't understand the appeal of Benedict Cumberbatch / think he's fug / don't know who he is? WATCH SHERLOCK. Until you do, your negative opinion of him will not be taken seriously.
I'm with you, I would rather watch "smart" movies than blind slashers.
I agree... too much blood and I'll turn it off.
The Saw's, hands down.
Paranormal Activity was so...creepy.
Me too!! As far as actual scare the sh!t out of me movies I think The Ring and Paranormal Activity are the scariest!! Couldn't sleep after either one!
Ohh I liked "The Ring"!!
I do not like the remakes usually. I tried, seriously.
I like The Shining a lot. I also like the original The Changeling. (EXTREMELY creepy!!!) And the original When A Stranger Calls always used to freak me out. I would bring it with me on babysitting jobs and psyche myself out, too.
Poltergeist...
Carol Ann...Carol Ann....hehe
I'm afraid to click on this... if it's for the second Paranormal Activity, I don't want to watch it. I always told myself, that won't happen to us... we have dogs. There's now a dog and a baby, not cool!
OBH I loooove the original When a Stranger Calls... the ending is spectacular!
Silence of the Lambs and The Shining
I also avoid the gratuitous violence and gore.
bahaha I didn't even make a correlation between us having dogs and a baby, that is so not cool. damnit...
