Lehigh Valley - where to go pick a pumpkin?

I'd imagine there are lots of farms in the area that have fun things for Halloween... anyone have any recs for a cute place for pictures with LO, walking around, picking out a pumpkin together, etc?

TIA!

  • If I recall correctly, you are near Whitehall.  If you travel up MacArthur Road towards Laury's Station there is Strawberry Acres (Overlook Orchards).

Also, go out to Trexler Game Preserve (Nature preserve) & Leigh Valley Zoo.  They are doing "Boo at the Zoo" on Halloween weekend - where the little ones can trick or treat around the zoo.

  • Thanks a lot!  Good memory, I did post about needing a photo location near Whitehall. We are actually in Macungie but that is close enough!

    Strawberry Acres looks cute.

    Thanks again :)

  • I second the vote for Strawberry Acres. I grew up a mile from there and they do a nice job. They have a pumpkin picking area, apple picking wagon rides,  pony rides and they have some of their other animals like goats, sheep, pigs, etc. in a fenced in area to play, and a huge slide for kids.  I love it there!

The LV Zoo is great too for their Boo at the Zoo. They give away treats at certain points throughout the zoo I took my son there last year and he had a blast.

and just a suggestion for the LV ladies.. it might be fun to do a GTG there :)

  • Seiples Farm is really great and has a hayride to get to the pumpkin patch, plus a petting zoo and rides and food.
