I'm a major procrastinator, but we do have a bassinet for when LO is first home. I finally came to the realization that I need to buy a second crib. DD's crib was pretty expensive, and really nice... but we'll only be using 2 cribs for a few months before transitioning her to a toddler bed. I'm going back a forth of what to buy as a second crib, and I found this porta crib at BRU.

Re: Porta crib?
Thanks. I'm not as worried about the changing table part - we'll only have it in our room for a few months, then I have a full size dresser/changing table in the nursery. Is the bed part super tiny? All the reviews on BRU are good.
DS2 - Oct 2010 (my VBAC baby!)
We live in a small NYC apartment and we are getting a similar mini crib. The mini cribs use the same size mattress as a pack n play. This is the one we're getting (we found it at Buy Buy Baby):
I spent a long time talking to the salesperson, and she said that the baby can use it as long as he can't pull himself out. However, it's just as deep as a normal crib, so I'm not sure why the smaller size would make a difference. The manufacturer says the crib is good for 0-12 months (full size cribs say 0-24 months), but from the research I've done, many people can use it for longer, and they transition directly into the twin bed from there.
If you already have a full size crib for your other baby, then definitely just get a small one. You can convert it to a twin and put the bigger kid the twin when you switch the baby into the bigger crib. I think it's perferct for you!
Thanks!!! That is what I was thinking, but not real sure. It looks like the same crib? Sorelle?
