  I do not have regular periods, nor do I take any meds for it. I get my period between 30-40 days apart each cycle. This time I spotted brownish (old) blood for 6 days...not enough to need even a panty liner, but it was there when I wiped. It has been over a week since that ended. I have spotted brownish blood a few days leading up to a period before. I took a pregnancy test during the spotting hoping to be pregnant but it was negative.

  Have any of you experienced this before? Should I test again or wait for next month to see if my period comes?

  Both.  Test again in a few days, and if it's negative, wait a while for your period to come.  If it doesn't come full-force next cycle, perhaps a call to your doctor is in order.  It could be that you just had a very light period this cycle?  GL figuring out what is going on!

  I think it sounds like your period is going to start or it was just really light. There is still a chance you could be pregnant, however. Wait a week to take another test, and if it's negative, it was probably just a light period.

  I had a period that was like this a while back. The next month was normal. I talked to my doc about it at my last visit and she said it was fully within the realm of "normal" to have one weird period (or even just skip one) each year.

  Could it have been a light period? I always have brown spotting 4 days before AF starts, but I'm as regular as the clock.
