Trying to Get Pregnant

CD 16 no ovulation?

Generally my cycles are around 28 days. Last month my cycle was 25, and the month before that it was 27 days. I am just concerned because FF is not detecting ovulation.

Thursday my OPKs were blank on the test side, Friday I tested two times, the first time around 1:30-2:00pm and the line was faint but definitely there, then I tested at about 7:00pm and it was still faint but darker and totally there. Saturday at 11:00 it was the darkest of them all but still not darker than the control. Then last night I tested at 10:00pm and it was barely there. So I am wondering what is going on? Should I say that I got a positive OPK on Friday/Saturday or just say it was negative?

Thanks and any input will be helpful!

How close was it?  The only positive I got this cycle wasn't darker than the control line, but VERY close.  If it was super close, I'd mark it positive, and keep humping it out! Smile

  • CD16 is still plenty early. If you ovulate late, your cycle will be longer. Your OPK is positive only if it's as dark as, or darker than the control line. Personally, I will get a "fade in" effect with OPKs, but sometimes it does fade in, fade out, then fade back in again. Just keep having sex, doing opks and temping, and don't stress about it, because stress can delay ovulation.

  • It was almost there and the color was the same all the way through, on Friday is was darker on one side than the other so I think since it was the same color all the way through and the darkest I will mark it a + and just keep going on. Thank you.

  • I O'd on CD18. Are you temping? That will help you know for sure. I started charting really late, but I still caught my O temp shift. GL

  • Yes, I am charting my temps, CM, and other symptoms. This is my first month using OPKs and charting and we are using my husband's preferred method of having sex everyother day, but we did the BD on Friday and Sat morning so we'll see if that maybe helped anything if I did O on Friday/Sat. Also, Friday night and early Saturday I even felt what could have been O pains on my L side, and the past two months I thought I felt O pains on my R side.

Basically who knows at this point...Time will tell I guess :)
