Pregnant after IF

mbjmaybebaby

sorry to stalk your blog and then ask questions here. But where did you get a bathing suit from that works for you in later stages of pregnancy? And when you go to the pool are you just sitting in there (on a noodle or something) or are you trying to move around a bit?

I think I'm going to get a pool pass to our local Y for the next three months. My one true joy these days is sitting in the bathtub, but the water doesn't even come close to covering me anymore. I just want to float and maybe even use one of the paddle kickboards to swim a bit and take the stress off my back/legs.

TIA!

  • I got two suits at Motherhood Maternity before we went to Mexico in June.  One of them was way too big (fits me now).  They are both tankini style but my belly is still fully covered.

I go to 24 Hour Fitness and either walk in the pool or just get to the deeper end (5 ft) and just stand there.  I try to do some leg lifts etc bc my hips have been sore lately but mainly I just stand in there. I love it! I really do feel energized when I come out of there.

  • Ah, thank you! So good to know. I hate the idea of going into a pool when it's frigid outside, but this girl needs to FLOAT. My LO's are low low low and while it makes it easier to breathe, it also makes it harder to balance, put on pants, shoes, socks, etc. I just want some relief from the weight of my belly.
  • Oh I hear ya.  I told my DH I am done wearing jeans etc as it's just too hard to get into them.  I only wear flip flops because mainly that's all my feet can fit into and I can't bend over to do anything other than slip-ons.  Have you tried a support belt?  I have a link to the one I bought on my blog.
