I need someone else to tell me they have pretty bad pain at night when rolling over in bed. I feel like my pelvis is being crushed and it actually made me cry this morning. Today is not off to a good start and I don't know what to do about this pain at night because it's making the very limited sleep I'm getting even worse.
On the other hand, I apparently missed some drama on the Nov. board.
Don't worry, 3rd Tri ladies, not all of us think you're meanies. Not that I think you're worried, LOL. (I started off with an EDD of 11/2 and never left the Nov. board after it changed to 10/27.)

Re: Horrible pain when rolling over in bed.
It takes me a good 30 seconds to go from one side to the other in bed. And I'm not that huge. I was thinking last night it might be because you engage your abs and they're all stretched out and not of much use. Could be totally wrong but it occurred to me.
You're not alone! It's uncomfortable
I have serious pains in my lower abdomen...it feels like I'm ripping apart my muscles when I get out of bed. It's the devil.
I'm sure that the ladies on the NOV board who were in that thread aren't the only ones who think we are "meanies" but it is what it is. If you can't take the heat, stay out the kitchen.
You're definitely not the only one, turning over feels like a major chore in bed....getting out of bed is pretty tough too, I look like an old lady shuffling to the bathroom each time I have to pee at night. Although, I get around pretty well during the day.
I agree with the other poster, you should definitely mention the pain to your doc if it's making you cry.....hope it resolves soon!
Same here, it's not nearly as bad during the day. I have another appointment on Wed. and will mention it. It almost seems to vary weekly. Some weeks aren't so bad, and other weeks it hurts every night. Who knows what's going on, but at least I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Do you sleep with a pillow between your knees? If you don't, you should consider it.
In all three of my pregnancies, I've developed SPD where the front cartilege in the pelvis begins to split thanks to the relaxin in your system. That, combined with carrying low, led to LOTS of pain and it's nearly always the worst when I'm sleeping.
So far, the only solutions I've had are sleeping with a pillow between my knees (this reduces the pressure on the sacroiliac joint and the pubis symphasis). I also roll over every time I wake up at night. It hurts a little, but overall my morning health is better, if that makes any sense. . .
Good luck. I'm sorry. The last days are the hardest.
My Blog
I so know what your talking about....but i don't know where it hurts more my back , my so called abd or my pelvis....uggghhh my DH says all the time I look like a turtle on it's shell that can't turn around....:( attractive lol.
I'll ask my OB about SPD on Wed. I keep trying the pillow between my knees, but can't decide if it helps or makes things worse. My hips tend to hurt more if I have the pillow between my knees, so it might be a trade-off. Thanks!
This. But once I get adjusted, the pain eases up. And then once I'm up and moving, no pain at all.
I've also had this. My bones consistently make a huge cracking sound when I flop over. I keep a body pillow between my legs that helps my hips and I put the top part under my belly to support my lower back.
Then when I get up I have to use the wall because everything feels misaligned! Oh the joy of pregnancy.
I have had it far worse with this pregnancy than my previous ones- and to the point where I almost can't walk when I get out of bed. I plan to bring it up at my next appointment. I did sleep in chairs at this point with my previous pregnancies- thinking of trying it again.
Rolling over is the toughest thing for me to do -- it is more than uncomfortable.
ETA: I try to lay on the side that baby girl's back/butt is NOT on. I don't know how your LO is laying, but it is much more uncomfortable to sleep when she settles into the side I'm laying on.
If I choose the right side, rolling over isn't as much of a problem.
I also throw a little party to myself when the side she's not laying on allows me to lay toward the edge of the bed so I don't have to roll over to get up.
This. Mine sounds like a loud pop (if feels like I had a dislocation). It woke up my husband a few nights ago, because it was so lound. I also feel as if I pulled a groin muscle. Anyway, I've only got a few more days of this
