baby wearing and bag carrying- advice?

I'm really enjoying using my Moby wrap, but the one problem I'm having is figuring out how to carry a bag- diaper/purse. I live in NYC and do a lot of walking and need something I can carry all the essentials in. I don't love backpacks, but if that's the only choice.. Any advice from you veteran baby wearers?   Thanks!

  • I'm a backpack lover myself and use my old Jansport from when I was in high school lol.  However Onbags are AWSESOME for babywearers.

  • I have the slide by gogaga - the strap is long enough that is goes across and wide enough that it's like another strap on the carrier. When bunny was little it was exactly like another rail on the carrier.

  • I love our JuJuBu PackaBe.  It's a back pack but so useful. It keeps up very organised.

  • I use a Petunia Picklebottom Boxy Backpack. I definitely need to wear it backpack style when I'm chasing after DS while wearing DD. ?There's also a long strap so you can wear it across your body or on your shoulder.

  • I ended up becoming a backpack mom....because I was like you where I couldn't find a good solution. Sometimes for quick trips I can carry a bag/purse that I can carry on my elbow and that works.
