I am a tidy person dont like things out of place, dishes piled up that sort of thing.
My house is a disaster and I could careless. I look at it and go oh well. Now DH and our 16 year old dont seem to mind I havent cleaned. Which shows me I do all the cleaning. Now I'm not complaining about doing the cleaning because they are slobs and wouldnt do it right any way.
This just isnt me to have an untidy house. People come over and I wonder what they think seeing a messy house.
Re: House cleaning and pregnancy.
When I don't clean, I try to at least declutter, if only minimally. I stress out otherwise. But, if you don't care, then leave it alone! Who cares what other people think.
Oh, and I think the rest of your family should pitch in!
Wow, your u/s picture is amazing!
(my house isn't tidy either...but it hasn't been since I had ds)
dh and i just decided we're going to get a house cleaner a couple times a month!! i can't keep up as it is ... not sure what'll happen when baby comes!
i figure if i get a couple good deep cleans monthly i can at least keep up with the rest
It doesn't help that we are adding on a living room, bed room and utility room at them moment. The other thing is we moved in a few months ago and are still living out of boxes, no place to put things. It just piles up.
I will say my DD did clean and scrub her bathroom (which is the house bathroom) the other day and I didnt ask.
I did tidy up a bit after I posted the thread
Thank you for the compliment on the U/S picture. I tear up every time I just look at it. Thats my Little Bean.
I haven't kept up with the housework but thankfully DH usually picks up the slack. I usually save the laundry for the weekends and it seems to take all weekend to do it. DH does the dishes since he hates when the sink is full and when m/s reared it's ugly head I officially put him on bathroom duty.
I've convinced myself that - this is insane - we should put our house on the market this spring. So every chance I get I find things to throw out or ship off to the Salvation Army. Getting rid of stuff actually makes me feel better than looking at a clean floor or an empty hamper.
I don't think I have either. DF is awesome about keeping up with the dishes and vaccuuming. The only thing I've done is clean the bathroom (with natural, environmentally friendly cleaners of course) once lol. The bathtub at this point is a lost cause because it doesn't drain properly because of all the hair in it. I can't do the draino thing and I keep forgetting to remind DF. So until that's done it's pointless to clean the bathtub. I feel so lazy and I should start doing more now that I'm feeling better.
Ugh, I feel you. I used to have a five day a week cleaning schedule. That is out the window (partly because I started working after grad school). Now, when I come home from work, I'm so effing drained I can hardly feed myself. MH has done an amazing job taking over for me, but he's been away a lot for work. When he's gone, I just kind of keep up with taking the trash out, and that's it.
The "mail basket" (AKA the clutter pile) is overflowing!
I'm hoping to get things back up to snuff when the second tri hits and I *fingers crossed* have more energy.
I'm so glad I'm not alone on this one. Today my mom came over to help me with all the stuff I've been putting off.....for the last month, when not at work...I'm flat on the couch.
We cleaned and decluttered some. I feel a little better.
