does anyone know at what age you should switch the bassinet to the seat? my husband and i have been debating this for the past few days, i say not yet bc our lo is only 5 weeks but he thinks he's too big for the bassinet and argues that it will hold him in the same position as the carseat.

Wait at least another month but ideally two more, as per bugaboos suggestions. Better for them to be on their backs. You can use your carseat if you have the adapters, it gives better support than the bugaboo seat.

thank you, i couldn't find anywhere an age recommendation. we do have the car seat adapter and use that once in awhile but i think he's more comfy in the bassinet.

I'm using my basinettes until the boys are too big for them...

My neice is 5 months old and she's still in the basinette...

It has a weight/height limit. Can't rememeber what it was, check the manual.

I know that we switched from the bassinet to the seat on ours around 4 months, he was still under the height/weight limit, but was getting nosy and much happier in the seat. But you could use the seat now, it has a full recline.

Recline it all the way back and prop him with some rolled up blankets and it'll work. When they start sitting up about 4-6 months is when you can really start using the seat without it reclined all the way.
