Levi David is here!

Sorry, I'm a bit late with this update. Levi was born on Tuesday at 11:11 pm. 7 lbs, 15 oz. 20 inches long.

I had contractions starting last Sat. On Monday, the nurse midwife in L&D triage told me that he was posterior. Therefore, all of the contractions were pushing him into my pubic bone instead of the cervix. She gave me some positions to try to turn him around. I did those all day on Tuesday. At 4:30 pm, i told DH "I think he may have shifted just now." At 5:30, contractions started hitting hard every 5 minutes (but i couldn't tell if it was real or another fake out). At 8:15pm, I was laying on the couch and my water broke. It was a big gush, and just kept on gushing. There was meconium in the fluid. I grabbed the fattest pad I could find and we headed out to the hospital.

When i got there (just before 9pm), contractions were 2 minutes apart and ridiculously painful. They basically didn't stop, just flowed into each other. at about 9:30 the Dr. examined and said i was 90%, 5 cm. She said it was time to admit. by about 10:15 I was in a labor and delivery room. By 10:30 I had my epidural. The nurse was going through all of the questions she had to ask, and I told her that i was experiencing a lot of pressure. It kept getting stronger, like i wanted to push. At 11pm, the doctor examined, said i was 100%, 10 cm, +2 station. She started getting ready to have me push. at 11:03 I started pushing. At 11:11pm, we had Levi.

His face was really bruised after hitting my pubic bone for 3 days, but other than that he's perfect!
