so as of yesterday baby has decided to hide somewhere in my belly. I noticed because my tummy is usually hard when i wake up, but yesterday it was squishy all over ( if that makes sense). I got a little worried because her kicks felt a little lighter than usual, but then when we went to our DR. appt yesterday and I heard her heartbeat i was at ease once again.
This morning shes doing the same thing, i cant seem to find her!! I feel her from time to time but not as much as when she is front and center in my belly.
Has this happened to anyone? Should I be concerned that her kicks are lighter, or is that just because shes positioned differently?

Well I am sure she is definitely there, in your womb. Perhaps she is resting and in a different position. This makes the most sense to me.
I know what you mean. I think it all depends on positioning. But I do understand- sometimes I feel like she is right against the skin of my belly, and other times, I feel like she is nowhere to be found. I have worried on and off about movement, but my doctor said that her position affects the strength of movement quite a bit. In fact, she said something like, "It's like the difference between feeling a kick through a sheet or through a comforter."
But all is well.
lmao. I actually had typed "what---do you suspect she packed her bags and moved out last night?" but then I had a moment of softness and decided to just keep it simple.

It sounds like she could be posterior, with her back against your spine, and then all her limbs facing out. Ideally she'd have her back towards your belly button, but it's still early for her to really get into position. spinningbabies.com is hard to navigate, but she has some good advice/info about baby positioning.
