F/U to my 3hr.

My 3hr test was supposed to be done yesterday, but was rescheduled for today. I went in today did the first blood draw, waited and waited, drank the drink, not even 2 mins after drinking it, it came right back up. So now i have to attempt to redo the whole thing tuesday. Lets just hope i dont get sick next time. I was so embarrased to have to tell them i threw it up i think everyone in the waiting room heard me tell them as well it sucked.

    yikes, I'm sorry!  were you sick in the first place or was it the drink, itself?  did you have to fast beforehand?  if you don't have to maybe next time try eating before hand.. might help?  I dunno, sorry you have to do over, tho!

    Yeah, i've had a cold for about a week now. And on top of being sick i went in for my test today on an empty stomach because i had to fast beforehand. So being sick + empty stomach = not so pretty lol.

    Oh, I'm sorry! I have mine on Monday and I plan to chant "I will not barf, I will not barf!" I'm a teacher and it's so not cool to take a lot of time off, so I can't afford to have to go back! No barf dust for both of us!!!

    UGH. I almost puked mine up too this time. The lemon-lime is the worst flavor!!

    I also had to do a one hour at 7 weeks with horrid m/s and that one almost came up too!

    Yuck, sorry that happened. The lab techs told me not to chug the drink, but to drink it slowly within 5 minutes.  I guess a lot of people puke if they drink it too fast.  Good luck!

    I also got sick taking this test. I made it 30 minutes, 1 hr 40 minutes and puked while drinking it on my first three tries. The fourth time I made it and passed. The OB nurse said in 6 years she's only had one other patient with as much trouble taking it as me. SO, that's meant to be encouraging! Most ppl only need once or twice to make it through! Good luck!
