can you recommend some finger foods that are dairy free...other than the usually fruits/veggies...he currently devours Happy Baby Puffs like it's his job.

thanks!

  • Pretzels, chex...

Sorry we're not on solids yet, I don't have much to contribute.

  • I'm not sure if you are doing meats yet but DD loves homeade meatballs, and shredded chicken/pork from the crock pot. Smashed black beans and pieces of tortilla are also a favorite but maybe a little tough to grasp at the age of your lo. She loves Veggie Booty as a treat. Quinoa/rice noodles are also in the weekly rotation.

  • I like the meatballs idea. Carbs are pretty easy: any type of bread cut into manageable pieces. Homemade pancakes or waffles (so you can make dairy substitutions as needed). If you're doing eggs: hard boiled or strips of omelette. Sometimes deli counters have roasted turkey or chicken breast so that's easy to have on hand or make your own.
  • Hmm, we aren't eating solids yet and I just don't remember much from DS1... I know we just read most every label in Whole Foods.  There are a lot of cereals (SOME Puffins and Rice Krispies come to mind), rice cheese, one kind of teething biscuits (Earth's Best I think).
Fortunate to be a SAHM to my 3 musketeers (5/2006, 5/2010 & 12/2011). Soy & dairy free for the 3rd and final time. Lilypie Kids Birthday tickers Lilypie Second Birthday tickers Lilypie First Birthday tickers imageimage
