We usually make all our bottles for the day in the morning because we have to send premade bottles to daycare. Well, now that we've switched to ready-to-feed daycare said we can send one bottle with the 32oz container. We usually use 7 or 8 bottles a day and wash them all night. Does anyone use the same bottle at home too and just wash it in between? If so, how do you wash it (quick rinse or soap and hot water). I've been sterilizing all these bottles every day this whole time... but I'm thinking daycare might be on to something...? I don't know though, I wonder if they should be washed really well each time (which probably doesn't happen at daycare anyway).
Re: Just one bottle at daycare?
as I use bottles (SAH) I wash them with water in the sink and dish soap, we never use a sterilizer or dish washer, just the scrubbie brush from BRU and that only is used for bottles. I do sterilize them when I first buy them in hot water.
Once in awhile in a pinch I will rinse out the bottle she has just used without soap and reuse it but not more than one time.
My daycare wants all bottles prepared beforehand. They will not touch the formula or the milk. Therefore each baby in the nursery has several bottles each in the refrigerator in their section.
Each babies is color coded with dishwasher safe tape with the baby's name and a label stating whether it is formula or breast milk.
