3rd Trimester

If you're planning to use music during labor

Share your playlist please?  I had a great one for DD and it really helped, but it just seems wrong to use the same one for this baby.  Some of the same songs won't hurt, but so much of that music is "hers" now - especially from my new baby playlist because it became her bathtime music after we brought her home.

TIA!

  • I had a Yanni CD playing in the OR during our c-section...the cd has become our bed-time CD since and if I change the CD at night, DD gets upset and wants THAT one.  It's very relaxing and not too "new age" as a lot of Yanni's stuff usually is.  I will pick a different CD for #2.

  • I'm using a Pandora station, since I know I'll need music for a while!  I'm still getting it the way I want it, but I'll probably use two different ones -- one with just music I like with a slightly more relaxing bent (so, probably not the Killers ;)) and one of purely relaxing music, like Enya.

  • I have just started putting together a playlist on my ipod.  So far I'm thinking a LOT of Beatles; I love them.

  • I'm planning on my Norah Jones cd.  Her voice is low and soothing... hope it will keep me calm.
