ok...is this my hormones getting the best of me?

in 3rd Trimester

I have decided that next Friday will be my last day since they are inducing me the following Wednesday. That gives me a whoppin 2 days to make sure the house is ready and have a day to myself before that NEVER happens again. So I brought it up to my big bosses yesterday at my review and they said no problem & when I came back to the office and let my office manager know she wasnt too thrilled. She has been kind of short with me since then. ITS 2 DAMN DAYS! I am not doing much around here anyway (clearly by how much time I have on TB) Like to the point where she kind of caused a hissy fit scene in the office today. I literally almost cried. Now before you flame her too bad she has done SO much for me. Helps me with my time off for my appointments, has spoiled Baby S ROTTEN...so I am very confused as to where this is coming from. 

guess i am done whining...

    I am sure she will be fine after she calms down from whatever has her panties in a wad. Like you said, it is only two days; she will survive!

    I think what you're feeling is perfectly within reason.  Like you said, it's 2 days.  I'm trying to get 4 weeks off.  *shrugs*

    it's just so out of character for her...i guess that is why I am so baffled.

    I mean I know she'll have to get over it but I hate going out for 12wks on bad terms ya know?

    Maybe she's just sad to see you go, and is expressing it in a really stupid way.  Don't sweat it.  She'll be over it by the time you get back (if you're going back).

    I'm not seeing your ticker, but if your being induced...  hell, I'm sure it's possible your baby could come even TODAY, man, that would P!ss her off!  hehe

    no they already did a little "shower" thing here...

    when I say spoiled I mean she bought a good $200+ in baby gap & childrens place clothes, $100 GC to Target and she was in charge of the shower here when they got me my high chair... now she is just being short with me and said "J & B (my big bosses) said it was my decision if I wanted to let you have those two days. Do you really need to take them?"

    i lost my ticker and a tragic siggy accident and never bothered to put it back...kinda glad now due to the tragic end of the alternatickers anyway.

    Tell her you really want to take those two days and then ask WHY she is so concerned about it. Suggest that she lets you know what she wants you there for so you can take care of it before you leave.

    This.  maybe there was a particular task she is concerned about cause otherwise, 2 days is pretty minor in the grand scheme of things.

    Tell her you really want to take those two days and then ask WHY she is so concerned about it. Suggest that she lets you know what she wants you there for so you can take care of it before you leave.
