how ignorant can people be?!!

in 3rd Trimester

So, yesterday evening I'm at Target with DH and of course, the first thing I have to do is go to the restroom to be comfortable enough to walk around with feet in my bladder Big Smile I'm washing my hands and another pregnant chick (I would say lady, but she doesn't deserve that name) walks in and stares at my belly then proceeds to rub her own. I just smiled and continued my business and the conversation goes as follows:

Her: "Don't you just f***ing hate being pregnant? I'm in the d*** bathroom all day long. I've never been so tired of peeing in my life."

Stunned, I look at her and respond with, "Ha, your serious?"

Her: "Hell yeah I'm serious. I'm so miserable. And I bet your just having this perfect little pregnancy huh?"

Me: "Not perfect, but I think I'm just fine suffering the symptoms. The outcome is definitely worth it. Don't you think?"

Her: "Well, since you're Miss Jolly Pregnancy (<- huh???) and I'm not, lets just hope your labor and delivery sucks and I get a break. I think I deserve it and it seems like you could use a little more suffering

Me: "You could seriously use an attitude adjustment. And if my labor sucks, so be it."

And I then proceeded to prance my Miss Jolly Pregnant ass right out of there and give it a little shake when opening the door since I knew she was still staring. Is it bad I had to bite my tongue to keep from screaming "I BET MY BABY WILL BE PRETTIER THAN YOURS!!!!!!!"?

    This whole event is quite terrible, though.  I'm sorry this happened to you.  I hope you have a quick, easy L&D.  Some people are so rude!

    When I encounter people who I know I can tell have a different perspective I just make some generic comment and get out...no need to get myself upset about someone else I don't know or care about!

    Wow! I didn't know that there were pregnancy competitions!

    It's never tactful to wish any bad situation on any person, especially out loud. 

    Anytime I have ever randomly ran into another pregnant person in public, we always just gave each other a smile and a nod, really.

     

    Our local Target's bathroom smells like Trix cereal all the time, by the way. haha

    LMAO. Omg that's too funny. While being pregnant isn't the most pleasant thing all the time, the outcome is WAY worth it.

    2 Things

    1)Your a stranger and she acted like that, can you imagine how she behaves with people she knows, like the guy that knocked her up (if he is still around.)

    2)"My baby will be prettier than yours!" and "Mrs. Jolly Pregnancy" should be made into T-shirts!

    Ours too!!!!!! Must be some kind of air freshner? Good thing we aren't positive, if they sold them I'm sure it would make me hungry every time my jolly ass had to pee!

    You didn't know about those? Around these parts, we take bets on which baby will be the cutest! The loser has to get their baby plastic surgery.

    What a snot. Some people are just stupid as hell. And no, it's not bad. I actually give you kudos because with her immature remarks that would have been the first thing I'd spit at her. Haha.

    What is wrong with people???  I've had two terrible pregnancies, but I still love every minute of them and think the outcome is the best thing in the world.  I would never, ever say anything negative about being pregnant or wish a terrible delivery on another mother.

    I agree with the t shirt idea...its a good one!!!! I would so rock it. Cool

    But on the subject at hand...knowing my "'mrs. jolly pregnancy" self. I would have told her it looked like she was caring quints or something. LOL.

    I really do feel bad for women who have a rough pregnancy, especially since mine has gone perfectly.  Of course, having to pee a lot does not count as a "rough pregnancy" and homegirl needs to get over herself.  I'm talking about the poor women who are on bedrest because of fear for losing their babies or other severe health problems.  Sure I have pelvic/hip pain and typical aches and pains, but for pete's sake, it's not the worst thing in the world by a long shot.
