painful exam?

Hey Fellow Bumpies,

I just had my 35 week pelvic exam and swab for group B strep and it was very painful! She said she was checking the position of the baby but I thoght it was unnecessarily painful. Has anyone else experienced this? Its 6 hrs later I still feel sore but no bleeding.

Yes, I had my second internal yesterday and I thought she was trying to grab my heart via my vag.

hey there, after my 1st internal, I swear I thought I was going to have the baby, I was sooooo sore and uncomfy...a few hours later it subsided!

yep, totally normal. Its pretty much a fisting. Plus my Dr has fingernails..she wears a glove (of course) but it still hurts! Tongue Tied

My doc always says "now it'll feel like I'm reaching for your tonsils!" I feel like they hurt less has your cervix lowes because they don't have to reach so far, but yeah...they suck.

Mine hurt as well. I had some cramping for most of the day after the internal. Not looking forward to the next one.

im 36-37 weeks pregnant and i've never had an internal exam. she felt around my pelvic/hips on my last apt to see if he was head down or not, but thats its.
