3rd Trimester

breech :(

Doctors appointment this morning they said they think LO is breech. (no u/s, just from what they could feel). I'm only 32 weeks so they said not to worry because the baby still has time to move. Are there any ways to help LO move in there? The doctor really didn't tell me much... at what point do they like them to be head down by? Anyone else thinking thier baby is breech?

and i thought i loved you then <3<a href="http://daisypath.com/">Daisypath Anniversary tickersBaby Birthday Ticker Ticker

Re: breech :(

  • My DD was breech until 38 wks - they even scheduled C-section...when I went in for CS, she flipped over night and they induced (big girl).   It can happen!!  I've seen exercises and such, but not sure of the effectiveness of anything.  My version didn't work.

  • There is still lots of time for your baby to turn. I just went for a growth ultrasound yesterday and found out mine has switched to breech after always being head down.  I'm not too worried.

If you want to try some non-invasive ways to try and flip the baby at home, have a look at some of the techniques on www.spinningbabies.com

Even if you flip the baby now, there is still a chance they could go back to breech before you deliver.  So it's really a peace of mind type of thing to try and work on it for me.

  • my doctor said that they dont really worry about the baby being breech until about 37 weeks.  You got plenty of time, dont stress about it! :)
  • It really doesnt even count as breech unless still in that position at 36-38 weeks, just cause babies still move a whole f-ing lot before then.

  • I will be 38 wks on Sunday and our LO is still breech.  We found out at 36 wks and I did check out Spinningbabies.com and read some of the techniques and tricks.  I did go into the hospital for a ECV.. external cephalic version and it did not work.  The baby did not budge at all!  I have heard ppl say their LO turned late so keep your hopes up.  I doubt mine will move but ya never know.  We are scheduled for a c section on the 4th!  GL!!!

  • I'm with the other girls, no need to stress yet. My LO is in the extended breech (feet are by her head) and my Dr. is not concerned at all. He said she has at least 'til 36 weeks to move. I'm sure everything will be fine. =)

  • We just went in for our 36 week appointment this morning and found out we are breech as well. Ultrasound confirmed. We go back for another US next week to check her position and will go from there. Most likely if she hasn't turned we will go in for a C Section in a few weeks. Guess we just wait and see.
