So, after doing a ton of research on CDs, I now realize I know nothing about disposables!!
I want to buy some disposables to have on hand but I have no idea what brands are best. Does it make a difference?
I just want to add a box in the first 3 sizes to my registry (now that my showers are over) so I can buy them with my discount. What should I pick?
Re: Disposable diaper question
Its trial and error, honestly. Some diapers work for one baby and not at all for the next baby.
Personally, I prefer Huggies because they do not leak even a drop with my kids... but I know some people who have the exact opposite experience with them and prefer Pampers.
On the flip side, I despise Huggies wipes because they're thick and I prefer Pampers wipes.
Maybe just get the smallest pack for size N, 1 and 2... so if you end up having issues, you don't have a boatload left over, and you can always get more if you need them.
We aren't CD'ing but still wanted to be as natural as possible. We got Huggies Pure and Natural and the Seventh Generation brands. I did research on them both and supposedly they are really absorbant and great for sensitive skin.

It really depends on the baby and parent BUT
I used only Pampers with DS. I thought they were soft and smelled like baby:) I never had a problem with leaks or rashes. I love their wipes too, Target's is comparable. Huggies wipes seemed thick and are attached, seemed difficult to get one wipe out with one hand.
GL!
This is only from my limited experience with my niece and nephew, but it seems like Huggies are the best when it comes to leaks. I know all the hospitals around here use Pampers and that is what they started with, but they eventually switched to Huggies b/c of the leaks and if I'm not mistaken Huggies are a bit cheaper too.
I'll probably use Huggies.
As for wipes, my SIL always bought the Pampers Sensitive.
Also, you may get some good deals with your registry completion discount, but club stores (Sams, Costco) have really good prices on disposable diapers and wipes.
We use the Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive (they don't have DryMax in them - the gel that was causing so many problems), or you could also try the Pampers Baby Dry (also no DryMax).
We hated Huggies - leakorama.
Same here and I refuse to use any brand of the Pampers brand, whether it's dry max or not.
With my LO's I was always switching from brand to the next depending on the sizes. Some sizes in one brand fit better than the same size in a different brand.
We have used Pampers with DS all the way and have had no problems.
My recommendation - don't open any of the boxes until LO is home. We followed the baby book advice and got the newborn diapers all set in our little shelves, and then he was too big for them!! And of course we couldn't bring them back because we'd opened them!
I have no advice on diapers, but I did want to mention that at Babies R Us (I don't know if that's where you're registered?) you can't use the completion coupon on diapers.
I have them left on my registry too and I just got my completion coupon today and it says that in the fine print.
This! The Huggies Wipes gave A a rash. We use only the Pampers Sensitive.
