This is happening more and more frequently, and at 4am DD had gotten both arms and one leg out. Is there a "next" step product out there? I'm currently looking at the Magic Sleepsuit. Any other recs?
I'm going to try her in just footie pj's this weekend, so if she does wake up overnight, it won't affect my work day. If she still sleeps well, I won't spend any more $, but if not, I'll try something else b/c I LOVE that she sleeps 12 hours straight in the MB.
Re: What to use when baby breaks out of Miracle Blanket?
I switched to the Aden & Anais blankets and did the "super swaddle" with my LO.
She still can get her feet out a bit, but arms stay secured.
Also, I looked into "The Woombie" and I think Im going to be purchasing that!
How old is your LO? It might be time to wean her but in the meantime you could try escape proof swaddling - I used this for DS for a couple weeks before I weaned him and it worked really well. I found out about it from another bumpie

3 months.
I can't watch youtube at work, but I'll view it at home. We are BAD at swaddling-could never get it right, so hopefully that'll help!
And I'm loving this woombie!
Agreed. OP - if you do this, I would use the lighter Aden and Anais blanket for the "outside" swaddle as a PP said. Essentially, escape proof swaddling is using a smaller receiving blanket and folding it in half twice to get a long rectangle and do basically the same thing that you do with the miracle blanket (I believe but I never owned MB) - that is tuck the arm in and place the end underneath them repeat on the other side so their body weight and the smaller blanket are holding their arms down. Then use your regular swaddle blanket and swaddle as usual.
This.
I think the moving of the arms thing would be problematic.
I would like to get a sleep sack with the ability to wrap her arms, but the Halo ones only come in xs and small and my big girl won't fit in those for long:(
I'm afraid a regular sleep sack will be too freeing for her.
