I had an awesome moment yesterday that I think DH and I are going to try and recreate some time. I thought you guys might try it too.
DH and I met to run errands after work last night. We ended up going out to dinner and then splitting a dessert. DS got antsy when the dessert came out so I walked around with him to let DH relax and enjoy his portion of the dessert. When he was done, DS still didn't want to sit so DH headed home. I got to sit, eat my dessert, drink my coffee and generally relax for about 15 minutes. I didn't feel like I needed to rush home to relieve DH or spend time with DS, there were no dishes to be done, it was wonderfully relaxing. Just those few minutes were so rejuvenating.
I told DH we would have to take two cars the next time we go out so we can have a nice meal together but then he can have some time to relax. I guess it is the stigma of going out to dinner alone that prevents us from doing it or that we try to accomplish things when we are out without DS. This was just so nice to eat a great meal and then sit and relax a bit. You guys might want to try it some time!
